OFFICE MANAGER

Morgan has worked in the field since 2014. She comes with a wide range of experience, from working in an administrative position to a technician. Morgan completed her technical training with Manatee Technical College where she received her certification of CPOA. In 2016 Morgan achieved her ABO certification giving her experience in opticianry. She is a loving wife and mother of two. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing at the beach.

OPTICIAN

Donna is a Bradenton native with over 20 years’ experience in the eye care and optical field. She absolutely loves working with patients and educating them on the best eyewear for them. In her spare time, you can find her boating the beautiful gulf waters with her husband or out riding their Harley Davidson motorcycle. Donna also enjoys her solitude at the beach or walking her dog, Dude.

SURGERY COORDINATOR / TECHNICIAN

Jennifer has been Dr. McKinney’s technician since 2011. She assists with his patient workups for clinic as well as his surgery schedule. Jennifer first started her ophthalmology career in 2004 as a veterinary ophthalmic assistant. In 2007 she decided to further her skills in the field and made the transition into human ophthalmology. Jennifer received her certification for ophthalmic assisting in 2008. Jennifer is a Florida native.

HEAD TECHNICIAN

Janet has been working along side Dr. Conroy and Dr. McKinney since November 2000. She started working in ophthalmology in 1990 and received her certification as an ophthalmic technician in 1992. Her background in surgery also has given her a chance to assist with cataract surgery with Dr.Conroy and Dr.McKinney. She has lived in Florida since she was 4 years old, her family moved from New Jersey to enjoy the sun and fun here in Florida. She currently lives in Englewood and enjoys kayaking on the weekends with her husband Lance.

BILLING SPECIALIST

Tatiana joined our family in 2019. Her 12 years in customer service and beautiful smile bring love and care to our office. She is originally from Connecticut and moved to Florida to enjoy the endless summer and be closer to family. When she is not working, you can find her hanging out with her rottwieler, Necko or eating tacos!

ESTHETIC NURSE

I am not only the wife of Dr. McKinney and mother to our 2 boys but I am also an RN. I have practiced in ophthalmology, in the hospital setting as a cardiac critical care nurse and most recently in promoting a program to help identify kids with developmental disabilities and autism with Family Network on Disabilities. I joined the practice to help evaluate and educate patients on specifics of Dry Eye Disease. I love to teach and feel privileged to be working at such a great office. In my spare time I volunteer at the our childrens’ school and volunteer with our church within our mission ministry that serves children in Guatemala.

MEDICAL SCRIBE

Previously a manufacturer of lenses in Pennsylvania, Frank joined the practice in January of 2023 and has been working closely with our Ophthalmologist as a Scribe. Currently Frank is studying with our team members to further his career as an ophthalmic technician. Outside of work Frank can be found spending time with his dog, and working on cars.

CERTIFIED OPHTHALMIC ASSISTANT

Cheryse is originally from Michigan where she was introduced to the world of eyes as an optician. She progressed into the field of Ophthalmology and from there worked for multiple specialist in the field of Glaucoma, Cornea, Neuro – Ophthalmology and Oculoplastics. She moved to Florida in 2021 and in her free time can be found gardening, crocheting or at the beach with a good group of friends.

OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN

April has been in the eye care industry for 10 years now and absolutely loves what she does. Being in the healthcare field for almost 20 years she has found her niche helping others achieve their vision goals! April moved to Florida 10 years ago from Bethel, CT and now resides in Venice, FL. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 beautiful daughters. Outside of work she can be found roller skating, dancing, hiking and is an avid beach-goer.

PATIENT ADVOCATE

Michele is originally from central Illinois and moved to Florida in 2021. Her career started as a certified optician but has a wide variety of expertise throughout the office. Michele has worked alongside our Ophthalmologist as a medical scribe, closely with our lead optician and now as a patient advocate. In her free time she can be found enjoying the outdoors; paddle boarding, biking, and going to the beach.

CERTIFIED OPHTHALMIC ASSISTANT

Leah was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida and lives with her husband and two children. She began her love for Ophthalmology in 2012 working for The Gulf Coast Glaucoma Clinic and became a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant in 2015. Leah joined our practice in 2023. Outside of work Leah enjoys spending time in nature with her family and friends. Fun fact, ask her about her chickens!

CLINICAL COORDINATOR

Amanda started her career in eye care in 2013 as an administrator. She quickly grew to love the field and trained to be a technician and an optician, and went on to receive her CPO certification. In her free time you can find her relaxing at the beach or out on the water on her paddle board.
